Goodman Highlights First Amendment Day

The sixth annual First Amendment Day will feature Mark Goodman, the Knight professor of scholastic journalism at Kent State University. Goodman will work with Greenlee School students, the Iowa State Daily, high school and community college students and advisers.

Goodman served as the executive director of the Student Press Law Center in Arlington, Va., for more than two decades before taking the post at Kent State.

Student Press Registration Open

Our student session focuses on informing principal, advisers and students on how to work together to promote freedom of the press at their high school or community college. This session is free, but we do ask participants to register so proper accommodations can be made.

Attendants of the student session may be interested in attending any of the above sessions as well.
