The 2008 First Amendment Day at Iowa State University will feature a lecture on democracy in Russia, a discussion on the current state of media, a seminar focusing on student press, a panel concerning the First Amendment post September 11th, a session on inclusiveness in school publications, a primer for college and end with a lecture on the censoring of freedom in the quest for freedom.
First Amendment Day serves as a celebration and a reminder of the five freedoms granted to us in the Constitution. These freedoms form the cornerstone of our democracy. How are you celebrating your freedoms?
